Requirements to Use

In order to qualify for access to the LMS-Ready Content or NDG Portal ILT, you must bean instructor at a degree-granting and government accredited academic institution or a member of one of our partner academic programs such as the VMware IT Academy or Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy.

Getting Started with LMS and ILT Services

LMS-Ready Content

A selection of NDG Online Labs and Courses support access through your school's Learning Management System (LMS). Once you are approved as an instructor, NDG content can be added directly to your LMS. Supported LMS options include Canvas, Blackboard, and Moodle. Learners' outcomes and grades will be posted to your LMS. NDG Online uses Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI), a standard protocol developed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium for integrating any LMS with any learning application. LTI is essentially plug-and-play; instructors and administrators integrate access to the NDG Online Lab Service from their LMS using the LMS access key and common cartridge provided by NDG.

Note: NDG does not provide the LMS. This is an advanced access option, additional setup and LMS permissions may be required. We are unable to assist with setting up or supporting your LMS (outside of our normal support for LMS integration). The Cisco Networking Academy LMS is not supported.

NDG Portal Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

If your academic institution does not utilize an LMS or wish to use our LMS-Ready content, we also offer our instructor-led training options from within the NDG Portal itself. Once you are approved as an instructor, you will gain the ability to create classes specifically for your students within the NDG Portal. This will allow you to monitor student progress within the labs, and students can submit screenshots of their work directly from within the NDG Portal.
