NDG Seeks Software Developer - Contract to Permanent

The Network Development Group, Inc., based in RTP, NC, seeks a Software Developer. This position is located at the NDG Offices in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Responsibilities

This position requires a highly motivated individual, capable of writing structured, documented code at an expert level. The candidate will be required to support and maintain operational code for the NETLAB+ product, and play a key role in new development.

Willingness to take initiative and a proactive role in product development is critical for this position. The candidate will be expected to quickly develop and maintain expert level knowledge of the NETLAB+ product and associated IT technologies and the capability to identify important issues, developments and trends.

Responsibilities also include testing new features, and providing suggestions for product improvement. The position may include exposure to other business functions including sales, marketing and support. The candidate will establish positive relationships with current NDG staff and customers. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary.

Requirements

• B.S. Computer Science or comparable experience.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with several of the following technologies: Perl, CGI, Java, C/C++, TCP/IP, Sockets, Linux internals, Inter Process Communication, VMware, VMware VIX API, VMware VI/Web Services API, VMware Perl Toolkit, Xen, Cisco IOS, Junos, VoIP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Ajax, JSON, JSON-RPC, XML, HTLM, XHTML, Document Object Model (DOM), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Unicode, i18n. Knowledge of Win32 API, Windows Driver Model, Winsock and .NET Framework is a plus.
