Cisco Networking Academy and NDG Online accounts
NDG develops and hosts the NDG Linux courses, which the Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad) offers for instructor-led and self-paced learning.
Why you need an NDG Online account
The first time you open NDG Linux course content from NetAcad, you are asked to sign in to an NDG Online account or create one. You only do this once.
This account is separate from your NetAcad account and is required to enroll in NDG Linux courses. It lets NDG meet its legal and partner obligations for data and use of NDG materials. The same account works for other NDG Online courses and labs.
To create the account, see Create an NDG Online account.
Keep the link between your accounts working
Once your NetAcad account is linked to your NDG Online account:
- Don't change the email address on your NetAcad account. A known issue breaks the link between the two systems when it changes. The fix is outside NDG's control, and the options to restore access are limited.
- Don't link more than one NetAcad account to one NDG Online account. It breaks the link for one or both accounts, and NDG Linux courses are likely to stop working correctly.
